Week of November 15

Dear Families,

Although it was a short week, Harold Panabaker was a busy and exciting place. Our basketball teams are preparing for their last week of regular season games. We commemorated Remembrance Day as a school community. We wish you a restful and fun Fall break. We look forward to seeing you next week on Wednesday, November 15.

Grade Eight Classes

We have very exciting news for our grade eight families. Our school is able to hire an additional teacher to divide the grade eight classes into four groups. This will support student learning. We are currently in the process of hiring a teacher. More details about timelines and class composition will follow shortly.

Remembrance Day

Thank you to our Remembrance Day team for putting together such meaningful assemblies. We appreciate the efforts of all of our staff and students. The band performed beautifully. our drama students created thought-provoking sketches which spoke to the meaning of the day. The art classes created a beautiful display. Students were also honoured to hear Mr. Villiger, a veteran of the Korean war, with a military career spanning decades, address the assembly. His kind words supported and uplifted our students.  Thank you to our grade seven leadership students who hosted and organized the assembly. The grade seven leadership class also organized the food drive for the Veteran’s Food Bank. Thank you to all of the families who brought in donations.

School Council

The next School Council meeting is on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00. All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.
