Dear Families,

We had a wonderful week at school. Our basketball teams are working hard to come together and develop their skills strategies, coaches are noticing great successes. Our school hosted the Terry Fox Run on Friday. Thank you to all of the students and their families for their support and participation. Thank you also to our PE team, who worked so hard to create a meaningful experience for our students.

Alley and Pathway

We are asking students to no longer use the alley that runs between Sackville Drive and Elbow Drive. Please review this expectation with your children to promote student safety and positive connections with our community.

Parent Council News

Halloween Dance and Pizza Party on Thursday, October 26th from 6-8PM. *Wear your costumes*

Remember that parents are expected to attend with their students. One parent can supervise up to four students and will be required to sign them in. Siblings are welcome to attend with their parent; however no students outside of the Harold Panabaker school community are permitted to attend.

**Pizza Order Forms Due October 12th**

 

Parent Council Annual General Meeting (AGM) Wednesday October 18th at 7PM at the Library.

Elections for this year's council positions at our AGM. Please contact Flora at hpschoolcouncil@gmail.com for additional information.

 

Physical Education:

-Students in grade 7-9 are expected to bring extra clothes for gym and change daily.

·       Indoor module (running shoes, black shorts or athletic pants, maroon/black/grey t-shirt or long sleeve, lock)

·       Outdoor module (running shoes, lock, weather dependent: black shorts or athletic pants, maroon/black/grey t-shirt, hoodie, jacket, gloves, and water bottle)

 

****Please contact Mrs. Broks (tjbroks@cbe.ab.ca) if your child is unable to bring extra clothes for PE class and we can help provide clothing/shoes.

 

Gym Strip Order Deadline

-The online store to buy gym strip or school spirit wear will be closed on Tuesday October 10^th at midnight. A link to the online store is available on the website.
