Parent-Teacher Conferences 

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday September 26 from 5-8 p.m. in person and Friday, September 27 from 8:30-1:30 online. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to tell us about your child and their learning goals. 

Booking opens on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. You will be able to book conferences using the MyCBE App on the conference tab. We look forward to seeing you at the conferences next week. 

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Next week students will be participating in learning activities to support Truth and Reconciliation in our classes. Students are encouraged to wear orange on Thursday, September 26. School will be closed on Monday, September 30 for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Volunteer Police Checks 

If you are interested in volunteering with the school, please ensure that your police clearance is up to date. It can take some time for a police check to be processed, so please do so in advance. If you are not sure about your police check status, please contact the office and we will be able to check for you. 

Video Surveillance Notification 

Our school has a video surveillance system to help maintain a safe and secure environment at the school for students, staff and the public, and to help address vandalism and criminal activity on school property. 

The video surveillance system is installed and reviewed in accordance with Administrative Regulation 1066. Personal information is collected under the authority of the School Act and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) section 33. 

This technology can be placed in areas such as the school parking lot, building entrances and exits, stairwells and hallways. This information is recorded and collected to help maintain a safe and secure environment in the school and on school property. The users of this information are the principal or designate and  law enforcement personnel in the case of reported incidents that would require an investigation. Only authorized persons will review video surveillance information. 

Inquiries concerning the video surveillance system, or the collection and use of recorded information may be made by contacting the school office. 

2024-2025 School Year Grade 6 Immunization Program 

Alberta Health Services will be coming to our school for immunization for our grade six and nine students. Grade six and nine students will receive information and consent forms from the nurse this fall. On November 22nd, our school nurse will be coming to the grade six classes to provide information to students about immunization. 

Immunization dates are: 

Grade 6: December 3rd, 2024, in the morning, June 3rd, 2025, in the morning. 

Grade 9: March 11th, 2025, in the morning
