School Conferences
We will have in-person conferences on Thursday, September 25 from 5:00-8:30 and online conferences on Friday, September 26 from 2:00-4:00. Please note that there is school on Friday, September 26.
Conferences can now be booked. Bookings will close at midnight the day before the conferences. Conferences can be booked using your MyCBE account, clicking on the School Conferences button.
These conferences are a wonderful opportunity for you to tell your child’s teachers more about them. We look forward to hearing from you about your child’s learning styles and experiences, their goals for the year, and what we can do to help them be successful. Since the conferences are early in the year, teachers are beginning to assess students’ learning, but do not have grades for long-term projects or major tests at this session.
In middle school, students have several different teachers for their classes. Please take a look at your child’s classes on your MyCBE account to see which teachers teach which subjects. You will likely want to book interviews with a few teachers.
Traffic Safety Message
Please see the attached message from CBE Transportation about safe streets at drop off and pick up times. Safety is a shared responsibility, and this document contains important information to review with your child.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Tuesday, September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. School will be closed that day. Harold Panabaker will be commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 26. Educational activities will be taking place in homeroom classes. Staff and Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt as a visible symbol to their commitment to learning about residential schools and their ongoing impacts.
