Elder Visit

We are so honoured to be hosting Elder Shirley at our school this Thursday. Elder Shirley will be working with all of our students to learn about hoop dancing. We had the pleasure of having Elder Shirley speak to the whole school last year and truly enjoyed her teachings.

Volleyball Playoffs

Congratulations to all of our volleyball teams on their regular season. Details about playoff games to follow from your coaches. Please pay attention to communication from your coaches about upcoming practices and games.

Community Engagement Meeting

Please save the date for a special community engagement meeting on March 20 beginning at 6:30. This is a chance for all families to connect and share their ideas for future planning with the school. It will take place before our parent council meeting. In the spirit of building community, we will be having a potluck. There will also be door prizes available. Come out to learn more about next year planning, connect with other families, and make your voice heard.

Parent Council Casino Update

Thank you so much to the families who have signed up to volunteer for the casino on March 11 and 12.

If you are able to volunteer, please consider doing so. You do not need to have a valid police check for the positions to be filled and a meal is provided by the Casino. All training is provided during your shift. Volunteers are essential to making this event a success. Please see the sign-up link below.

School Casinos are the most significant source of revenue for the School Council. School Council uses funds from Casinos to support student learning and extracurricular activities. This may look like learning materials, such as laptops for the students, books for the library, equipment and materials for our science labs, or new machinery in our construction, design, and food options. School council supports school experiences by contributing funds to subsidize field trips and the grade nine farewell. This is a very important fundraiser for the school community, which benefits all students.
