National Indigenous Peoples Day
Friday, June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. All students will participate in celebratory activities in their classes. This year, we look forward to welcoming some of our future panthers – grade five students from EMJ and Woodlands, to celebrate with us and build community.
ALP Updates
Our ALP class has been participating in the WILDSpaces Program through the Canadian Wildlife Federation. Students have planted a variety of pollinator plants both on our school property, and at the nearby Southwood Community Garden with the goal of pollinator conservation within our local community.
Some of our ALP students participated in the Adapted & Ability Track Meet on June 14th at Foothills Athletic Park. Our athletes participated in 100M sprint, Shot Put, and Standing Broad Jump. Way to go Panthers!!
Provincial Achievement Tests
This week our grade six and grade nine students will be writing their provincial acheivement tests. Please ensure that your child is well rested and eats breakfast before their test. Students have been working hard all year. We are confident in their abilities to show their knowledge.
Warm Weather Reminders
Students are taking advantage of the warmer weather to go outside for PE and other activities. Please remember to bring layers to school, drink lots of water, and wear sunscreen. Hats are also recommended when you are outside for long periods of time.
