Spirit Week
Thank you to leadership 8 for organizing a spirit week to kick off December. Dates and themes are below.
Basketball
Congratulations to all of our teams on great seasons. We are so proud of your growth and leadership. Thank you to all of our coaches who worked hard to help our students develop their skills and have fun. Thank you to the scorekeepers who volunteered on our hosting evenings and to all staff who supported the teams on our game nights.
The Senior Boys’ team and Junior Girls’ Teams have playoff games on Monday. Good luck to all, go panthers!
If your child is planning to watch the games, they must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Please remember to be supportive fans who are respectful to the host school, officials, other fans, and all players.
Basketball players may have further practices. Information will follow from coaches as needed.
Magic of Christmas
If you feel your family would benefit from support this year from the Magic of Christmas organization, please contact Megan Roach at meroach@cbe.ab.ca by December 6.
ALP Fundraiser
This holiday season, our ALP students are collaborating with Parachutes For Pets (https://www.parachutesforpets.com/)- a local non-profit which is dedicated to helping individuals in Calgary who are facing hardship by ensuring that their pets are cared for and supported during crises.
Our students will be volunteering by making holiday cards which will be distributed in Christmas hampers for pets/ their owners in December. As well, students will be making cards with short stories which will be read to pets who remain in the organization's care over Christmas.
In addition, our class is looking to collect donations of the following items:

- Dog & Cat Treats

- Gently used cat trees/scratching posts
